Petition – 1779 – Vacation Lodge

Lodge 55 – Vacation Lodge A petition from Lodge 55 – Vacation Lodge, for William Tavern a Smith and Farrier having suffered many losses and misfortunes in trade became bankrupt and supporting a large family.

An excerpt from the Lodge Minute book dated 18th November 1751 which refers to “the previous Lodge Night”. This includes the proposition that a Master’s Lodge be held every Sunday night. A ‘late’ Minute book entry as Rummer Lodge dated 19th Jan 1756, before relocating to the ‘Sugar Loaf’.
