Tiverton Canal Barge Trip

Saturday 4th July 2026

We met in the Grand Western Canal Country Park and boarded the barge which had a well stocked bar (when we set off!)

The barge stopped at the bridge to pick up some fish and chips and our host then turned the barge around.

On the return journey we experienced the tranquility of ‘silent running’ listening to the wake lapping against the hull of the barge. Just lovely!

In all everyone had a great time and people commented on how enjoyable it had been. “Well done Bill!”
