Bob’s Rocking Horse appeal

Bob was truly one of the greatest Free Masons and his passing to the Grand Lodge Above in 2023 was a loss not only to his loving family, but to the Freemasons in Wiveliscombe, throughout Somerset and even farther away. Amongst his many skills, Bob was a superb craftsman and as well as maintaining the masonic centre, he created many artefacts and fabulous children’s toys including this lovely rocking horse which his loving family have kindly donated to the Lodge to raise funds for the appeal in his name..

Bob realised that the Masonic Centre was an essential resource for not only the Freemasons in the area but for the residents who enjoy the community focused events held there. Thus the upkeep of the Centre was always paramount to him and it is this charitable aspect in which the appeal is his name is made.

Thus it is the Loyal Vacation Lodge’s intention that all funds raised on the sale of raffle tickets go towards the upkeep of the Masonic Centre at Wiveliscombe. We do need to maintain the fabric of the building (especially the roof), make the building more easily accessible and improve the quality of the facilities such as the kitchen and toilets.
