Ladies That Lunch

We’re pleased to report that the recent ladies luncheon wes very well received by all who attended.

A number of of Lodge Widows, who had previously been collected by our Lodge members, were joined by some local ladies who were pleased to dine with them. The Lodge members accompanied by one ex-member who had retired because he had moved outside of the area, served at the tables and enjoyed a lunch at the same time.

Having enjoyed a champagne reception, a nice meal and of course a chat, our widows were driven home and all reported that a jolly good time was had by all!

Although it was not planned as a ‘fund-raising’ event, due to the generosity of those who attended we made a few hundred pounds for our chosen local charity so everyone benefitted.
