A meeting just doesn’t seem complete without some music. We enjoy the Opening Ode, SMIB, Closing Ode and National Anthem, but how much does music improve the grandeur of the Worshipful Master’s entrance and the procession out when leaving the Lodge. Plus appropriate music during periods or mourning or respect and background music whilst the Deacons are perambulating or the DC is taking post all add to the ambience.
If a Lodge doesn’t have anyone that can, at least to some extent, play a keyboard, then it is worth considering appointing a Musical Director that can play some pre-recorded music at the appropriate times.
This all goes toward improving the experience for Members and Guests.
